Yes, there are some really great companies out there that make terrific eco-friendly cleaners, but there are a few products from Mother Nature that have some wonderful cleaning properties that sometimes outshine all the competition. Below you will find 3 useful natural cleaning products.
Lemons – Lemons have an extremely wide variety of uses for cleaning. Lemons help to cut grease when washing dishes, they have a great natural clean scent for your home, they can neutralize the odor of your garbage disposal, and they can be used in laundry to brighten whites. Not bad for about $0.50 each.
Olive Oil – Olive oil has an outstanding ability to get rid of dirt and clean various items. Mix with sea salt for a coarse cleaning solution to use on cast-iron pans, Use to shine all of your stainless steel appliances (this is our favorite use, it works GREAT!), it can also be a good furniture polish when mixed with lemon juice (as with all wood products, be sure to test on a small area that isn’t easily seen).
Vinegar – Vinegar is basically the “do-it-all” natural cleaning product. The drawback with vinegar is obviously the pungent odor, but if you can get past the odor, or you have a good plan for some all-natural aromas for your home…it can be a very versatile cleaner. Vinegar cleans mold and mildew, floors, glassware, windows, and more!
There are many other products out there like baking soda, tea tree oil, essential oils, sea salt, and limes…these are just a few products to get you started!
